History of Legacies Bed and Breakfast

Legacies Bed and Breakfast is situated in the ponderosa pine forests of Northern Arizona. Historic Route 66 travels through Williams-located a half hour from Flagstaff off Interstate 40, and one hour south of the Grand Canyon. Legacies is within walking distance to downtown Williams. The Grand Canyon Railroad is minutes from our front door and provides daily excursions to the Canyon's 6800' south rim. Besides offering quaint shops and varied restaurants, Williams offers scenic hiking, Elephant Rocks Golf Course and a family style ski area. For a larger ski area we encourage guests to travel to Snowbowl at San Francisco Peaks in Flagstaff. Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon, less than an hour away, feature spectacular hiking trails with views of red rock formations.

Legagies Bed & Breakfast was built in 1989. Legacies property is situated among numerous ponderosa pines, and has a large circular driveway in the front and a deck area in back. The outside of building is stucco and stone mined from a near by quarry. The southwest architectural design is lovely, with an impressive columned entranceway framed with a massive, lead glass doorway. A curved oak stairway leads from the foyer up into one guest room. At the top of the stairs is a sitting area that overlooks the great room that has a 17' ceiling. An inviting stone fireplace and raised hearth enhance the great room, where two 12' windows are situated. The Legacies Suite is unlike any suite found in Northern Arizona and shares the first level area with the Route 66 Room.
