SUMMER

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND COMMUNITY EVENT
Memorial Day Weekend 2009– May 23rd. Enjoy the 4-H BBQ at the Williams Rec Center, and Memorial Day Parade in downtown Williams and the WPRA Women’s Barrel racing competition at the Bob Dean rodeo grounds. Saturday at 11:30am and Sunday at 11am.

WALT DISNEY STUDIOS “A CHRISTMAS CAROL”
Movie Promotion (MAY 29th – 31st 2009) The first and only stop in Arizona, Walt Disney Studios will be bringing their Christmas Train to the Grand Canyon Railway and Resort this weekend. A free tour of the train and short movie trailer viewing is offered Friday through Sunday.

RUMBLE ON 66 BIKE RALLY (JUNE 19th & 20th-2009) Wild West
Junction hosts the 3rd Annual Rumble on 66. Live entertainment, bike show, parade, games and vendors are all going to be part of this bike weekend in the cool pines of Northern Arizona.

2009 MULTI-CULTURAL ARTS, CRAFTS & ANTIQUES EXPO (JUNE 19TH-21ST) Inspirations, Inc, and the Williams Alliance present this multi-cultural juried show that will highlight the cultural diversity of area artist and crafters. Interactive art booths, crafts, antiques and live entertainment are planned for this Expo in downtown Williams. For more information contact Sue Tamulevich at 928-814-9899.

HIGH COUNTRY WAR BIRDS AIR DISPLAY (JUNE27th) Held at the Planes of Fame Air Museum 30 minutes north of Williams this air show will feature antique and war bird fly-bys by a P-51 Mustang, P-40, B-25 and the Ford Tri-motor along with craft and food vendors it’s fun for the whole family!! Gates open at 8 AM. Admission is $8 under 12 free.

SMALL TOWN 4TH OF JULY- celebrating a hundred years of 4th of July parades in Williams, the Williams Centennial Fourth of July photo re-enactment project will be taken on this day. Locals and visitors alike are invited to dress in period clothing from 1909 and re-enact the photo right on Route 66 at noon. The celebration on July 4th and will also one of the biggest parades in Northern Arizona starting at 6pm .

COWPUNCHERS REUNION RODEO JULY 24th – 26th-2009-Real working cowboys get together and put on a big rodeo for themselves! An action packed event that is great fun to watch. Rodeo performances daily at 1 PM at the Bob Dean Rodeo Arena. Dance Friday and Saturday. Admission $5/ Kids 10 & under free.

FALL

COWPUNCHERS NORTHERN ARIZONA RANCH RODEO FINALS-AUGUST 9TH- this evening performance of the working cowboy’s rodeo will be held at the Bob Dean Rodeo Grounds. For more information contact Colleen Dolan at 928-308-1878.

13th ANNUAL COOL COUNTRY CRUISE 2009-IN -AUGUST 14th & 15th
This Classic Car Show with trophies given for various classes. This is a regional favorite with over 200 cars registered in 2008. There is no vendor participation for this event. www.route66place.com

JACK FULLER ROPING: AUGUST 15th & 16th. Jack Fuller brings his roping competitions to the Bob Dean Rodeo grounds. Performances start at 9am. For more information contact Jack Fuller 928-692-8465.

LABOR DAY WEEKEND: The Arizona Junior Rodeo Assoc. will be holding their Junior Rodeo this weekend in Williams! The Arizona Junior Rodeo Assoc. produces a rodeo weekend for the whole family! Parade-Saturday, 11AM

WILLIAMS MOUNTAIN MUSIC FESTIVAL
(LABOR DAY WEEKEND) Enjoy a weekend of live music and great food at Elk Ridge Outdoor Ski & Recreation. Friday Night Dinner concert will kick off the event. Live music competitions all day Saturday and Sunday Dinner concerts showcasing the winners of the competition scheduled starting at 6pm all weekend. November 27th, 2009 Official Tree Lighting Ceremony, Celebrate the Holidays in our historic setting in the mountains. Enjoy the official Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6 pm on Nov. 27th presented by “The Magic of Christmas in Williams” and Grand Canyon Railway, The APS Parade of Lights-December 5th at 6 pm. This colorful light parade down historic Route 66 is a holiday favorite.
